Solar activity increased over the last reporting week (February 8-14). Average daily sunspot number rose from 10.3 to 24, while average daily solar flux increased from 72.5 to 77.4. Geomagnetic indicators were quiet, with average planetary A index changing from 4.4 to 4.1, and average mid-latitude A index going from 3.6 to 3.

W1AW/7 to be on the Air from ARRL Southwestern Division Convention

W1AW/7 will be on the air from the ARRL Southwestern Division Convention (Yuma Hamfest) in Yuma, Arizona (DM22), beginning at 1600 UTC on February 16 and continuing through 0200 UTC on February 18.

Operation will be on phone, CW, and digital modes on all bands through UHF (The station is restricted to 100 W because of its proximity to the Yuma International Airport).

Great Club Log Hardware Shuffle Complete

Ducie Island 2018 DXpedition Plans Coming Together for this Fall

The Perseverance DX Group (PDXG) reports that its plans to activate the protected marine area of Ducie Island from October 20 to November 3, 2018 are starting to jell.
